Internship Promolding
During my four-month internship at Promolding, I worked within the Research & Product Development team, where I contributed to a wide range of projects in the field of product development, injection molding and automation. My daily work consisted of designing and improving components in SolidWorks, supporting engineers on running projects, and building prototypes and test setups in the workshop.
Throughout the internship, I was involved in several technical projects, such as developing tooling concepts, adapting existing products for improved manufacturability, assisting with mold-related troubleshooting, and creating long-duration test setups for automated assembly tools. I also worked on my own long-term project, where I explored solutions for automating specific assembly steps and validated these concepts through prototyping and practical testing.
Beyond the technical work, I learned how to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively, and handle responsibility within a professional engineering environment. This internship allowed me to deepen my understanding of plastics engineering, product design workflows, and practical problem-solving while contributing meaningful work to real client projects.
